Kottayam, 30th September, Two DaysTechnical Training for engineering staff working on Large Water Supply Scheme under RPMU Idukki - Jalanidhi Phase II started at Kottayam. The participants of the programme comprised  Mangers Technical, Senior Engineers, Project Commissioners and all technical staff of the Supporting Organisation. The programme has been exclusively arranged for the large water supply schemes coming up in Koropada, Aymanam and Adimaili Gramapanchayaths.  The main objective of the Programme is to give in depth orientation of technical aspects on large water supply Schemes in Jalanidhi Programme. Shri. .K Mohan Director, Technical delivered the key note address in the training Programme. Kum. Sangeetha.M.M, Deputy Director (Technical), Shri. Sreejith C.R, Manager Technical, RPMU Idukki, Shri. Shaji, Project Engineer, PMU took classes on various aspects.  All together 30 participants attended the training programme. The programme will ends on 1st of October 2015.

Marayur, September-15, 2015: KRWSA has been organizedOne Day reinforcement Training to four Tribal Gramapanchayats at Marayur. All Supporting Organization staff and GPAT Staff from Adimali, Marayoor, Kanthallor and Edamalkudi  Gramapanchayat attended the progremme The main objective of the training programme was to  empower the staff in social mobilization, IEC activities, especially to improve the BG contribution mobilization and involvement in implementation activities. Moreover in ensuring the importance of frequent BG meetings and continued follow up on implementation activities. Mr. M. Premlal, Director HRD, presided over the session and detailed the objective of the Training Programme. The workshop was facilitated by Shri.V.L Mohankumar, Director Operations. He emphasized to evolve and deliver creative programmes which are appropriate for ensuring the participation of the tribal people.  The participants get the opportunity to retrospect and identify the implementation issues. Shri. K.N. Suresh Babu,bDeputy Director (HR), Shri. Lalachan P.V, Deputy Director (Operations), Shri. Shaji, Project Engineer, Shri. Christine Joseph,Tribal Development Specialist and  Shri Subhash M, Training specialists attended. A total of 55 participants attended the training programme.

A modern Gas Crematorium constructed under sanitation component of Jalnidhi project at Kdirur GP in Kannur Dt was inaugurated by Shri. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. MLAin a colourful and spectacular function. The inaugural ceremony was presided by Shri.Pavithran, Grama Panchayath President. Shri.Balakiran.IAS, District Collector, Kannur was chief guest in the function. Shri.V.Chandran, Regional Project Director, GP Members, GPST, Office bearers of the Beneficiary groups attended the function.  This crematorium is situated in the border area between Kadiroor and Eranjoli Grama Panchayath. The polluted gas coming out from the system during the  burning the body passed through water tank situated out of the crematorium and go out through smoke outlet of 30 m height. The project cost is about 52 lakhs and Government of Kerala contributes its full share. The building consists of office Room, Toilets, Gas Chambers and Cremation hall. A beautiful garden is set out in front of the crematorium.




Hon.Chief Minister Shri. Oomman Chandy inaugurated the Large Water Supply Scheme of Nadathara Grama Panchayath on 18th of August 2015. In a colorful function held at Nadathara several dignitaries and various stakeholders of the project attended. The inaugural function was presided over by Hon. Minister for Water Resources Shri. P.J.Joseph, Shri.M.P.Vincent,MLA, Shri.C.N.Jayadevan.M.P, Smt.Tinku Biswal. IAS, Executive Director, Shri.Srinivas Rao Podippireddy, Task Team Leader of the World Bank Mission, Smt.Bindu Kattungal, President, Nadathara Grama Panchayath addressed the audience gathered.
