Kasaragod, April 20, 2016:KRWSA organised a two-day procurement and construction management training programme for PCs, TLs and JEs of Batch III Grama Panchayats under RPMU Kannur at Bekal Club, Kasaragod on 19th & 20th of April 2016. The objective of the programme was to capacitate the stakeholders under the project on the management of procurement and construction and its various procedures. Thirty participants from four Grama Panchayats under RPMU Kannur participated in this training programme. Shri. Chandran V, (RPD), Shri. George Mathew, (MCD), Shri. V.K Narayanan (WCS), Shri. Jayakumaravarma P. K and Shri. Money T.K (MTs) and Shri. Yohannan A, (TDS) of RPMU Kannur handled various sessions at the training programme.

KRWSA organised a two-day training programme ‘X’PLORE- 2016’ at Kumali on 18th & 19th of April 2016 for the Grama Panchayat Supporting Teams (GPST) of RPMU Idukki. The objective of the training programme was to boost the capacity of the team members by utilising their potentials effectively through an effective and efficient communication strategy. The welcome note and objectives of the training programme were delivered by Shri. Subhash M, Training Specialist and the key note address was delivered by Shri. Premlal, Director HRD. Dr. Sabu Varghese, Regional Project Director, Idukki, Shri. Suresh Babu, Deputy Director (HR), Shri. Jose James, Manager (CD), and Shri. Christine Joseph, Tribal Development Specialist, Idukki felicitated the gathering. The sessions were handled by Shri. Venugopal.V, (Udhuma, Kasaragod) and Dr. Nijoy P Jose (Bharananganam, Kottayam). A total of 45 participants attended this training programme.

The training programme enabled the participants to develop their confidence, self-realisation, productivity and mould their positive abilities and attitudes.

KRWSA organised a two-day training programme entitled ‘X’PLORE’ at Wayanad on 5th and 6th of April 2016 for the Grama Panchayat Supporting Teams (GPST) of RPMU Kannur. The objective of the training programme was to boost the capacity of the team members by utilising their potentials effectively through an effective and efficient communication strategy. The methodology of the training involved presentations, group activities, interactive exercises and sharing of thoughts and ideas. The training programme also made use of experiential learning methods such as group dynamics, presentation practice and cultural activities, which encouraged the participants’ confidence and helped, mould their positive abilities and attitudes. The sessions were handled by Shri. Venugopal.V (Udhuma, Kasaragod) and Shri. Bharath Das (Manjeri, Malappuram). A total of 42 participants attended this training programme.

The training programme enabled the participants to develop their confidence, self-realisation, and productivity.

Thodupuzha, March 29, 2016:  KRWSA organised a two-day procurement and construction management training for PCs, TLs and JEs of Batch III Grama Panchayats under RPMU Idukki at Thodupuzha on March 29, 2016 The objective of the programme was to capacitate the stakeholders under the project on the management of procurement and construction and its various procedures. Fifty participants from ten Grama Panchayats under RPMU Idukki participated in this training programme.

 

Kozhikode:  A two-day training programme on procurement and construction management for PCs, TLs and JEs of Batch III Grama Panchayats under RPMU Malappuram was organised at Kozhikode on March 18, 2016. Fifty five participants from eleven Grama Panchayats participated in this training programme. The objective of the programme was to capacitate the stakeholders under the project on the management of procurement and construction and its various procedures. Experts from Water Supply Schemes and Jalanidhi took various sessions at the training programme. The training enabled the participants to get a better understanding on procurement and construction and also helped them acquire knowledge on effective management of planning involved in designing of models associated with procurement and construction.

 

Malappuram: Hon. Minister for Water Resources, Shri. P J Joseph inaugurated the Kundanchola Jalanidhi scheme at Edapatta Gramapanchayat today at a grand function which was presided over by Adv. M. Ummar MLA. The scheme comes under Batch II of Phase II Jalanidhi for which the agreement was signed in March 2013. There are a total of 6 schemes for Edapatta GP under which a total of 1733 families will be benefitted. The works in the rest of the 5 schemes are steadily progressing. The support of Rajeev Youth Foundation, the support organization for this scheme was crucial in the completion of the work on time. 

 

Kitty Show organized at Kinanoor Karinthalam GP of Kasaragod district to educate and spread message of Jalanidhi. Kitty will visit other GPs soon!!

 

Jalanidhi participated in an event organised by Kerala State Dairy Development Department at Kolencherry which was named State Dairy Fest - 2016 on 25th & 26th of February, 2016. About 12,000 people including elected representatives visited the stall of Jalanidhi at the fest. Hoardings generating awareness on different aspects of Jalanidhi and models of large and small water supply schemes were exhibited at the stall. About 5000 leaflets were distributed to those who visited the stall.
